I made the mistake of first purchasing the wrong software. This is the one for Windows Vista and I have a 9 yr old boy that is thrilled with it. He has wanted this for 3 yrs since he played it in school. I didn’t realize that it was available for purchase. I have never seen it in a store and was thrilled to find it on Amazon. It is really fun and I must admit I have played with it as well !

I have been buying Reader Rabbit DVD’s since 1998 and have been very happy with all of them. I enjoy spending half an hour to 45 minutes a day with my child, working on her reading fundamentals. This is a great DVD. It incorporates game play and reading skills all in one. This program lets you child record his/her voice as she reads the stories. He/she will be able to play the recording back and listen to his/herself. Great moral booster for the child.

My sister literally sat down for 5 hours playing it! She finished it in 2 days! She was hooked (she’s crazy about gamecube, and apparently, this program was right up her alley). Although I’m not sure if six year olds will really be able to handle it (some of the concepts seem too advanced for the average six year old), it is great for second and third graders, particularly the summer before fourth grade (which is when my sister played it).
